「해방전후」 연구

Abstract

이태준의 「해방전후」는 해방을 계기로 한 그 자신의 작가적 변신을 선언하고그것을 정당화하고자 하는 취지와 내용을 보여주는 작품이다. “한 작가의 수기”라는 부제가 붙은 이 작품의 서술은 변증체 수기 형식이 주도하며, 해방 전 「무연」의 후편 내지 개작에 해당하는 부분 정도가 허구로서의 소설다운 부분이다. 이러한 서술구조상의 특징은 해방정국 속에서 상고주의의 신변소설가에서 조선문학가동맹 부위원장으로 전향한 그와 ‘문맹’․‘조공’이라는 조직의 강령 사이의 지평융합 즉 기획적 글쓰기의 결과물이다. 그 전향의 논리가 지닌 허실은「봉황각좌담회」에 대한 분석을 통해서 드러난다. 그 연장선상에서 면밀히 검토할 때 「해방전후」는 수사 편향의 상고주의자인 이태준이 인유법을 남발함으로써 결국 진정성을 결핍한 작품으로 평가된다.

Tae Joon Lee’s the Before and After of the 1945 Liberation of Korea is the work of fiction that proves the intent and the content that pronounces and justifies his transformation as a writer. The narration of this work subtitled “memoir of a writer”is predominated by the form of the apologetic memoir, and the other part, relevant to the sequel or the remake of the Indifference that was published in 1942, is fictional. These characteristics of the narration are resulted from ‘die Horizontverschmerzung’ between him turning from the personal novelist to the vice-chairman of the Korea Writers Federation and the doctrines of the organizations so called ‘KWF’ or the Cho-sun Communist Party, in short the projected writing. The truth and falsehood of the logic of the conversion is revealed in the analysis of the BongHwangGak Conversazione. In the extension of those discussions the close examination of the Before and After of the 1945 Liberation of Korea leads to the assessment that this work of fiction is lack of authenticity because of the rhetoric biased pseudo-classicist Tae Joon Lee’s abuse of the allusion.
