학교폭력에 관한 뉴스프레임 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 학교폭력에 관한 언론의 보도방식과 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 조선일보, 동아일보, 그리고 중앙일보에 2004년 1월부터 2010년 11월까지 실린 학교폭력 관련 기사 212개를 대상으로 기사의 형식 및 내용을 분석하였다. 연구결과에 의하면, 학교폭력 관련 기사들 대부분은 피상적으로 작성되어 있었고, 문제 중심적 접근과 개별적 접근을 취하고 있었다. 피상적 접근은 기사에 대한 독자의 심층적이고 비판적 생각을 가로막을 수 있고, 문제 중심적 접근과 개별적 접근은 피상성을 강화하는 한편 학교폭력에 대한 사람들의 공포심을 자극할 수 있다. 내용분석을 통해 나온 네 가지 프레임은 이러한 결과를 뒷받침한다. 학교폭력에 관한 언론보도는 기사를 읽는 대중들에게 영향을 줄 수 있고 관점을 만들 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다.

This study examines how the print news media report on the problem of school violence. Based on a sample of news stories from Chosun Ilbo, Dong-A Ilbo, Chung-Ang Ilbo.(January 2004~November 2010, 212 articles), we analyzed format and content of articles. The majority of articles about school violence was written superficial, the problem-centered approach and the individual approach were taken. People can be interrupted in-depth and critical thinking by superficial approach of articles. Problem-centered approach and individual approach reinforce superficiality, and fuel fear to school violence. Four frames through content analysis support it. We identified that a newspaper articles on school violence can affect the public, and make perspective.
