북한이탈 청소년의 남한사회 적응과 청소년복지의 과제

Abstract

The purpose of this article was to identify problems on adjustment of North Korean youth escapees living in South Korea and suggest important tasks of youth welfare. Youths experienced difficulties and problems which reflect the nature of the transitions and challenges they faced such as different education system, language heterogeneity, biases, misunderstanding of capitalistic economy, and the like. The tasks of youth welfare were suggested: emphasis on long-term and universal policy; building on case management and welfare resources networking; establishment of special education facilities; operation of peer mentoring program; and provision of concrete welfare service.
