한국 행정연구의 학제적 연구에 대한 탐색적 접근

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 실천적･처방적 학문인 행정학과 정책학의 학제적 연구의 특징을 탐색적으로 살펴봄으로서 국가정책연구에서 행정학･정책학의 구조적 특징과 그 성격을 파악하고자 하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 행정학･정책학 분야의 학제적 연구에서 공동연구의 비중은 51%로 나타났다. 둘째, 학제적 연구의 밀도, 평균 결속계수 그리고 연결망 집중도 값을 통해 행정학･정책학 분야의 학제적 연구는 행정학과 정책학을 중심으로 다른 연구 분야와 1대1 형태로 이루어지고 있음을 구조적으로 확인했다. 셋째, 한국행정연구원에서 분류한 연구의 성격에 따라 주제별 사회연결망분석을 수행한 결과 개발협력 분야에서 다양한 연구 분야가 참여한 형태의 학제적 연구가 이루어지고 있음을 확인했다. 넷째, 재정･예산, 조직･인사 분야의 학제적 연구는 행정학을 중심으로 다른 연구 분야와 1대1 형태의 학제적 연구가 이루어지고 있음을 확인했다. 마지막으로, 행정학과 정책학은 재난･안전 분야의 학제적 연구에서 성격이 상이한 연구 분야를 연결하는 매개역할을 하고 있었다. 본 연구는 행정학 분야의 학제적 연구를 구조적으로 확인한데 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this research is to explore the interdisciplinarity of the public administration through Social network analysis. For data analysis, research reports from 2012 to 2016 of Korea Institute of Public Administration was used. As a result of the analysis, interdisciplinary studies accounted for 51% of all reports, and most of them were a combination of the public administration and one other discipline. In addition, interdisciplinary research has been actively conducted in the field of development and cooperation among the research fields classified by the Korea Institute of Public Administration. Lastly, the public administration plays a role in mediation of disparate disciplines such as economics and architectural engineering in disaster and safety field. This research is meaningful in that it structurally confirms interdisciplinarity in the field of public administration.
