dc.description.abstract | Among the East Asian Countries, climate change policy issues are the most important issues in recent year. However, each country has a different approach for the prevention of climate change policy is different from each other based on their industry structure. Japan is oriented to technology based-policy and has more focusing on commercial building, residential building, and transportation sector. Voluntary policy such as emission trade and reduction targets from industry sector are the main policy in Japan. China is very vulnerable to reduce climate change, especially to adapt their capacity to handle. They try to change from old energy mix to innovative energy mix by having more renewable energy in the future and have more nuclear energy. Chinese government is more emphasizing energy efficient from industry sector. Korea government have also facing the same problems with Japan. Since their energy efficiency in the world is almost second level, they are oriented to technology based-policy and has more focusing on commercial building, residential building and transportation sector. Among these three countries, cooperation to each other is possible for reduction and adaptation for climate change policy. Best cooperation items will be CCS(Carbon Capture and Storage), emission trading in the region, building carbon zero city, and have common climate change financing mechanism or bank. By making East Asian climate change prevention bank, they can invest more environmental-friendly products, or process in the future, and even pursuit CDM projects. | - |
