Further Notes on Nominative Locatives in Korean

Abstract

This article investigates the nominative locative constructions in Korean. Following Yim 2004 and 2005, it provides additional evidence for the claim that the nominative locative behaves for all purposes as a bona fide subject. That is to say, it indeed involves A-movement; movement to SpecvP and to SpecTP. And the article touches some theoretical issues that the construction brings up such as (lack of) verb-raising and the nature of the EPP.
