『동국통감』의 기자동래설이 조선 사회에 미친 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 『동국통감(東國通鑑)』 편찬 이후 함허자(涵虛子)의 기자동래설(箕子東來說)이 조선사회에 미친 영향을 밝히는 것이다. 연구방법은 문헌분석방법이다. 연구 결과, 함허자의 기자동래설이 확대 재생산하여 기자조선 41명의 왕과 마한 9명의 왕들로 이어지는 역사로 조작되었고, 기자를 조상으로 한 족보들이 편찬되었으며, 이 가짜 역사가 대한제국 역사교과서에 실려 교육되었던 것으로 분석된다. 이러한 분석결과에 의할 때, 사대모화의 정당성을 확보하기 위해 만들어진 함허자의 기자동래설이 확대 재생산되어 체계적인 기자조선 역사가 만들어졌고, 역사적 사실처럼 인식되고 교육되었다. 차후 고조선･고구려인과 은인(殷人)들의 DNA를 분석하여 혈연관계를 밝히는 연구가 필요하다.

This study aims to reveal the impact of Ham Heoja’s theory of Kija’s migration to Korea on Joseon society after the compilation of Dongguktonggam. To look for all history books, collections of works, inscriptions, genealogies, and the Korean Empire’s history textbooks, which dealt with Ham Heoja’s theory of Kija’s migration to Korea, this study interpreted and analyzed its contents correctly. As a result, it was found that as Ham Heoja’s theory of Kija’s migration to Korea was expanded and reproduced, the existing historical records were fabricated as the history of 41 kings of Kija Joseon and 9 kings of Mahan. In addition, it was found that the Genealogies were compiled with Kija as an ancestor, and this fake history was taught as it was included the Korean Empire’s history textbooks. The discussion in this study allows the verification that Ham Heoja’s theory of Kija’s migration to Korea made to secure the legitimacy of Conservatism and Toadyism was expanded and reproduced to make a systematic history of Kija Joseon. It is also noted that this was perceived and educated like a historical fact. And yet, a study to analyze the DNA of the Gojoseon/Goguryeo people and Yin people and revealing their blood relationships, which have not been dealt in this study, is left as a future task.
