모 양육스트레스와 유아 공격성 간의 관계에서 가족건강성의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 어머니 양육스트레스와 유아 공격성 간의 관계에서 가족건강성의 매개효과를 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위해 인천광역시와 충청남도에 거주 중인 만 3-5세 유아 203명과 그 어머니를 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 자료는 SPSS 22.0과 AMOS 22.0 프로그램을 활용해 분석하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 양육스트레스는 가족건강성에 직접적인 부적 영향력을 행사했고, 유아의 공격성에 직접적인 정적 영향력을 발휘했다. 또한 가족건강성은 유아의 공격성에 직접적인 부적 영향력을 미쳤다. 둘째, 어머니 양육스트레스와 유아 공격성 간의 관계에서 가족건강성의 매개역할을 확인해본 결과, 세 변인간의 구조적 관계는 부분매개모형임이 검증되었다. 즉, 어머니가 지각하는 양육스트레스가 가족 구성원 간의 관계를 나타내는 가족건강성을 악화시켜, 자녀의 공격성에 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 의미한다. 결론에서는 이를 바탕으로 유아의 공격성을 줄이기 위해 어머니의 양육스트레스를 줄이고 가족건강성을 촉진시킬 수 있는 현실적인 지원책을 논의하고 후속 연구를 제언하였다.

This study aims at examining the mediating effect of child’s aggression on the relationship between parenting stress and family strength. Data was chosen from a sample of 203 young children aged 3-5 years and their mothers living in Incheon and South Chungcheong Province. Additionally, it was analyzed using structural equation model with SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. The results were as follows: First, mother’s parenting stress had directly-negative influence on child’s aggression, but directly- positive impact on family strength. Family strength had directly-negative effect on child’s aggression. Second, family strength mediated the effect of mother’s parenting stress and child’s aggression. It represented that structural model between three variables has been proven to be a partial mediation model. In other words, mother’s parenting stress exacerbate family strength and negatively affects child’s aggression through this course. Finally, this study suggested the policy for improving father’s parenting involvement and parent education for decreasing mother’s parenting stress in order to reduce child’s aggression.
