- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of persimmon vinegar administration on exercise performance glucose and electrolytes(potassium, chloride, sodium) of taekwondo player. The subjects in this study were 7 male player, who were divided into two groups. During the administration period, one group intake persimmon vinegar(400 ml/day: content of 30% persimmon vinegar) for 4 weeks, and the other was the placebo group. The subjects performed exhaustive exercise on a treadmill. The parameters related to the plasma were measured through incremental maximal exercise testing before and after each treatment. Plasma was sampled from an antecubital vein using a hypodermic syringe at pre and post(all-out), recovery 10 min and 30 min after all-out. The results are as follows. The blood in glucose was significantly by persimmon vinegar(p<.05). The potassium(K+) and sodium(Na+) was significantly by persimmon vinegar(measurement time: p<.05). In conclusion, intake persimmon vinegar before exercise may have a greater effect of ergogenic aids than dose placebo.
