dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to develop the Fairness Rating Scale for young children. The Fairness Rating Scale consists of 4 sub-factors. These factors are conscience, courage, equality, and sharing. The Scale was developed to assess young children’s fairness of young children’s teachers. The subjects used in this experimental study were 322 (174 boys, 148 girls) five-year-old children. Collected data were statistically processed using SPSS 17.0 and AMOS. The Scale was examined regarding item response distribution, item discrimination, and construct validity and internal consistency reliability. The results of the analyses are as follows. First, all items were generally fairly good. Second, Cronbach’s α of the questions was .92. Third, the young children’s fairness rating scale has a reliability: Cronbach’s α shows .77~.82 for total factors and .28~.65 for the 4 sub-factors. As a result, the young children’s Fairness Rating Scale for young children was developed in 22 items.-
