Persistent VDM(Virtual Digital Model)기반의 자동차 디자인 리뷰 중심 PLM 프로세스 연구

Abstract

현재 자동차 스타일링 개발은 디지털기반의 Virtual Digital Model(VDM)을 중심으로 이루어진다. 그러나 VDM을 Physical Model로 만들었을 때 간혹 서로 상이한 형상으로 인하여 일부에서는 여전히 Digital Model에 대한 신뢰성에 의구심이 갖고 있는 것도 사실이다. 이러한 문제는 Digital Model의 비물질성으로 인한 본질적인 문제로서 이를 극복하기 위해선 무엇보다도 Virtual Model 개발단계에서 충분한 사전 리뷰를 통해서 최종 Physical Model과의 형상 차이를 최소화시켜야 하며 동시에 그를 위한 리뷰 중심의 최적화 된 PLM Process 운영이 요구되고 있다. 그러나 현재와 같은 단순한 데이터 저장 장치로서의 대부분의 PLM 운영 형태는 이와 같은 VDM 리뷰 충족요건을 해결하지 못하고 있으며 리뷰를 위해선 매번 사전 준비 작업을 필요로 하며 이는 결국 더욱더 VDM 리뷰를 저해하는 요소로 작용하고 있다. 이러한 근본적인 문제는 현재의 PLM내 Virtual Model인 VDM의 입, 출력 운영 형태가 단속적(斷續的) 프로세스로 운영 되는데 그 근본적인 문제가 있다 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 현재와 같은 PLM내의 단속적인 VDM의 입, 출력 방식을 향후 언제, 어디서나 가장 최적의 VDM을 최적의 상태로 리뷰 할 수 있도록 하는 PLM 운영형태로서 지속성(持續性)의 개념을 도입한 Persistent VDM 리뷰를 위한 PLM 운영 Process 모형을 제시, PLM의 활용도를 높임과 동시에 현재의 VDM의 리뷰를 개선, 궁극적으로 Digital Model의 신뢰도를 높이고자 하였다.

The car design based on digital process in vehicle development is inevitable, and which is requiring Virtual Digital Model. The Virtual Digital Model, even through it give us a lot of advantage in aspect of efficiency, but some people still don't get rid of their belief that physical model is more reliable than virtual when it comes to having a review. The one of main reason that people is reluctant to digital review comes from consuming a lot of time to preparing digital model. Under the current way of PLM which is need to require hours at a time, the form of digital review will be not acceptable efficiency-wise. In this research paper, I'm going to suggest the new concept of P-VDM(Persistent Virtual Digital Model) which refers to methodology maintaining PLM updated by user's proactive participation through the real case of A automotive company. P-VDM is based on the key to maintain PLM updated persistently by all participants when it go on progress and provides newly updated digital models any time with less efforts avoiding time consuming for digital review. The purpose of this paper is to show a possibility that bring up to improve the current digital review with the concept of P-VDM which is consisted of the persistent and concurrent in PLM.
