과학활동을 통합한 음악 소리활동이 유아의 음악창의성에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 소리 주제에 대한 음악과 과학교육 통합 활동이 유아의 음악창의성에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 연구대상은 서울시 소재 A유치원의 만 5세 2개 학급에 재원중인 54명의 유아들이다. 두 학급은 실험집단과 비교집단으로 임의배정 되었다. 실험집단의 28명 유아들에게는 음악-과학 통합 소리활동을, 비교집단의 26명 유아들에게는 음악소리활동을 실시하였다. 주 1회 총 12회의 실험처치를 하였으며, 음악창의성 검사를 사용하여 사전-사후 검사를 실시하였다. 두 집단의 수집된 자료를 분석하기 위해 공분산분석을 실시한 결과 실험집단 유아들이 비교집단 유아들에 비해 음악융통성, 음악독창성, 음악논리성이 유의미하게 높게 나타났고, 음악지속성에서는 두 집단간의 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이러한 연구결과는 과학 경험과 통합된 음악활동은 유아의 음악창의성 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 시사한다. 본 연구로부터 유아 음악교육의 통합적 접근의 중요성을 비롯하여 과학영역과의 통합의 교육적 가치가 부각된다.

This study conducted an experiment to determine the relative effectiveness of music sound activities integrated with science experience and music-sound activities on young children's musical creativity. Fifty-four children of age five were assigned to experimental and comparative groups. The experimental and comparative group participated in 12 units. The experimental group participated in music-sound activities integrated with science experience, while the comparative group participated in music-sound activities alone. The Webster’s Measure of Creative Thinking in Music II (MCTM-II) was administered to both groups at the beginning and end of instruction. Analysis of covariance revealed significant differences between the mean scores of the two groups on the posttests including musical flexibility, musical originality, and musical syntax. There was no significant differences for musical extensiveness. The results of this study suggested that the music education integrated with science experience improve the musical creativity.
