dc.description.abstractIn this paper, an experimental study was conducted to seize the treatment effects of dewatering liquid using the new biofilm reactor with attached agitating mixer in the existing biofilm reactor. Also the effects of influencing factor in the experiment was analyzed using two-level (2^n) factorial design. As results, with the influent BOD concentration 500 ㎎/L, the removal efficiencies obtained represented 90% for BOD, 87.3% for COD and 89.4% for SS as the mean respectively. On the other hand, with the influent BOD concentration 1,600 ㎎/L, BOD removal efficiency was 87.6% and removal efficiencies of COD and SS as an average were 86%, 88.5% respectively. In factorial design and analysis, the values of main effects of media compaction, agitating mixer, and temperature were computed as 6.18, 5.08 and 3.83, respectively. The most significant factor of this type of biofilm reactor was media compaction. The second important factor was agitating mixer.-
