- Abstract
- In the nonmesonic weak decay of the hypernucleus He-4(Lambda) via the one-pion exchange model, the fact that the wave functions of the nucleons in the initial hypernucleus He-4(Lambda) which do not take part in the decay process are neither orthogonal to nor the same as the wave functions of the slowly moving unbound residual nucleons is taken into account. The result shows that for the decay channels He-4(Lambda) --> (2p)(SLOW) + n + n and He-4(Lambda) --> (pn)(SLOW) + p + n, the results rates are reduced to similar to 20 %.
