dc.description.abstract | Transmission power control (TPC) has been studied as communication technique for reducing energy consumption in wireless sensor network. Most of all TPC algorithms have an inherent problem such as packet loss, retransmission, because it have been considered only sensitivity. Therefore, transmission power selection method for efficient, high reliable transmission power control (TPC) algorithm is required. In this paper, we propose a novel transmission power selection method based on the log-distance path loss model and additive path loss dispersion. Furthermore, we show experimentally that the proposed method outperforms the previous selection method in power consumption and the packet reception ratio (PRR). © 2010 IEEE. | - |
