장기 20세기와 사회주의 역사적 경험의 회고 러시아혁명과 중국혁명을 중심으로

Abstract

장기 20세기에 전개된 사회주의의 역사적 경험은 반복되는 정치적 아포리아를 담고 있다. 이를 혁명적 주체의 형성 대 구조의 변혁 사이의 아포리아라고할 수 있다. 이 아포리아는 마르크스의 <자본>과 <프랑스 내전> 사이의 대립에서 드러난 바 있다. 러시아혁명은 현실에서 이 대립을 드러냈는데, 이는 혁명기레닌의 저작에서 확인되며 「4월테제」와 「임박한 파국, 그것에 어떻게 대처할것인가」 사이의 대립이 이를 잘 보여준다. 그러나 러시아혁명 과정에서 이 대립은 당에 의해 유기적으로 해결될 수 있는 것처럼 보였다. 그러나 NEP시기 모순이 해결되지 않음이 확인되었고, 러시아혁명은 해결되지 않은 문제들을 중국혁명에게 넘겼다. 중국혁명은 러시아와는 다른 조건하에서 전개되면서, 러시아혁명의 모순들을 좀 더 진전시켰고 그 모순은 특히 문화대혁명에서 두드러지게폭발하였다. 사회주의하의 모순들은 중국혁명을 주도한 마오쩌둥 자신의 모순적 주장들 속에서도 확인된다. 문화대혁명은 대중운동이 미 모순과 더불어 나아가면서 그 모든 문제의 핵심에 당이라는 형태와 ‘민주’라는 쟁점이 있음을 확인시켜주었다.

Historical experiences of socialism in the long 20th century involves reiterated political aporia: formation of revolutionary subjects vs. transformation of existing social structure. This aporia was first manifested by Marx in his works between The Capital and French Civil War. It was also re-appeared in the process of the Russian revolution, especially by Lenin’s contradiction between April Theses and Impending Catastrophe and How to Combat It. The Russian Revolution appeared to solve the aporia through the function of the Party, but the NEP displayed difficulties of the problem. The Chinese Revolution inherited that aporia, which was deteriorated in the process of the revolution, culminating at the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution(CR). The CR showed that political aporia is concentrated on party form and the issue of democracy. The aporia of democracy was substituted by “rights for people”(minquan) led by the party.
