dc.description.abstractThis study examined learning strategies aimed at the practical characteristics of college students and adult learners based on existing literature from abroad. In particular, in order to derive a learning strategy direction that meets the real needs of university students and adult learners, their metacognitive learning strategies are needed. The following facts are drawing keen attention through research on how to utilize metacognitive in foreign research. The first thing to do in adult English learning is to help adult learners recognize their characteristics thoroughly themselves and identify what learning strategies are required for them. Examing at overseas research cases, one of the biggest effects of metacognition seems to optimize negative psychology positively. In the end, it is inferred that if the metacognitive strategy is actively used for English education of Korean university students and adult learners, it is possible to bring about more efficient in motivation of adult learners.-
