dc.description.abstract | Purpose: This study was designed to identify the types of sex role identity(SRI) in adolescents and to investigate the relationship between the types of SRI and depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. Method: Participants were 1,623 high school students(male 578, female 1045) in an urban city. Korean Sex-role inventory, DISC-MDD-SQ for depression, BAI for anxiety, and the Suicidal Ideation Questionnaire-JR were used. Results: The undifferentiated SRI(male 67.0%, female 67.3%) was most common. The mean scores of depression and the suicidal ideation were 10.22(±4.40), 28.96(±14.53). There was no significant difference between the types of SRI and depression and suicidal ideation. The mean score of anxiety was 13.21(±10.38), and there was a significant difference in the level of anxiety on type of SRI. Especially masculine SRI had a significant lower anxiety level than undifferentiated type. Also, regarding the sexual identity is the one of the important psychological task in adolescent, balanced education planning is needed to promote to differentiate the sex-role identity. | - |
