A Laser Doppler Vibrometer (LDV) with the in-housed mechanism to adaptively compensate the LDV's body vibration was developed. The resulting LDV shows a linear relation between the LDV output and the target velocity range of -15mm/sec approx. +15mm/sec with the resolution of 0.025 (mm/sec)/mV. The operation of the system was verified via computer simulations and experiments performed for diverse types of target signal and body vibration.-
