장애인 음악교육 인식에 관한 연구- 피아노 교수법을 중심으로 -

Abstract

본 연구는 장애인 피아노 교육 인식을 알아보고 연구 결과를 바탕으로 효과적인 교수법을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 이전 연구들을 바탕으로 하여 설문지가 제작되었고 서울과경기도 지역을 중심으로 대학에서 피아노를 전공으로 하는 대학생 및 대학원생들을 대상으로 2017 년 3월 설문조사를 시행하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 대다수의 응답자들은 장애를 가진 학생들을 위해 일선 교육 현장에서 더 많은 교육의 기회가 제공되어야 한다고 생각하고 그들을 가르치는 일은교육자로서 가치 있게 여긴다고 하였다. 대부분의 문항에서 이전의 장애인 지도경험이 있는 응답자들과 그렇지 않은 응답자들이 비슷한 수치를 나타내었으나, 두 그룹간의 차이점을 살펴보기 위해서t-test를 시행한 결과 두 가지 문항에서 차이점을 볼 수 있었다. 장애학생 지도경험이 있는 응답자들이 그렇지 않은 응답자들보다 첫째로 장애를 가진 학생을 가르치기 위해서는 가족 구성원들의 도움이 절대적으로 필요하다고 생각하였다. 둘째로는 역시 장애학생 지도경험이 있는 응답자들이 장애인들의 효과적인 교육을 위한 워크숍의 참여의지가 더 많음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통하여 피아노 교육 분야에서 장애를 가진 학생들을 위한 사회적인 인식의 변화를 인지하고 효과적인 교수법의 개발이 지속적으로 이어지길 바란다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate piano education for disabled people. A survey was conducted in March 2017 and participants included university students majoring in piano performance in Seoul and Kyunggi-do area(n=201). According to survey results, most students think that more opportunity should be given to disabled people. They also think that educators would find value in teaching piano to disabled people. Mostly, students have similar opinions whether or not they have previous experience. A t-test was conducted to compare between students who had previous teaching experience and students who did not have previous teaching experience. Results show that students who had previous teaching experience were in constant need of family members' help. They were also willing to participate in workshops for better teaching disabled people. This study as well as previous research from other studies show general agreement about educators and teaching piano to disabled people. They reveal how educators must set a good example by applying today's changes on the recognition of disabled people. The consensus is that educators should gain and employ better ideas for teaching disabled people and teaching them effectively.
