유아를 위한 극놀이 연계 과학교육프로그램 개발 및 효과

Abstract

본 연구는 유아를 위한 극놀이 연계 과학교육프로그램을 개발하고 개발한 프로그램이 유아의 지적능력, 과학 유능감, 언어능력에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 유아교육현장의 적용 타당성을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 유아를 위한 극놀이 연계 과학교육프로그램의 체계는 목적과 목표, 교육영역과 내용, 교수-학습단계, 평가로 구성하였다. 실험집단에는 만 5세 유아 18명을 대상으로 2016년 3월 14일부터 2016년 4월 8일까지 유아를 위한 극놀이 연계 과학교육프로그램을 처치하고 비교집단의 만 5세 유아 19명에게는 2016년 4월 11일부터 2016년 5월 10일까지 탐구중심 유아 과학교육프로그램을 제공하여 총 4주 동안 각각 20차시로 실시하였다. 개발한 프로그램의 효과 분석결과는 첫째, 실험집단의 유아들이 ‘전체 지적능력’과 하위 영역인 ‘순차처리, ‘동시처리’, ‘학습력’, ‘지식’에서 비교집단의 유아들의 사후검사 점수보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 실험집단의 유아들이 ‘전체 과학 유능감’과 하위 영역 중 ‘과학 선호성’을 제외한 ‘과학적 유능감’과 ‘과학학습의 용이성’에서 비교집단의 유아들의 사후검사 점수보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 셋째, 실험집단의 유아들이 ‘전체 언어능력’과 하위 영역 중 ‘문법형태’와 ‘구문구조’를 제외한 ‘의미’에서 비교집단의 유아들의 사후검사 점수보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 본 연구결과는 유아를 위한 극놀이 연계 과학교육프로그램은 탐구중심 과학교육프로그램보다 유아의 지적능력과 과학 유능감 그리고 언어능력 함양에 효과적이라는 것을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to develop ‘science education program linked with dramatic play for young children’ also to compare and analyze the differences in effects on related variables of the program for validating the applicability of the program to the early childhood education. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, this paper consists of two sectors: 1) develop the science education program linked with dramatic play for young children and, 2) analyze the effectiveness of this program. The program consisted of purpose and goal, learning area and contents, teaching - learning stage, evaluation. Results reveal that the posttest score of the experimental group was higher than the posttest score of the comparative group in 'Total Intellectual Ability' and 'Sequential Processing', 'Simultaneous Processing', 'Learning' and 'Knowledge' of sub-area. Second, the posttest scores of the experimental group was higher than the posttest scores of the comparative group in 'Total Scientific Competence' and 'Competency', 'Learnability' except 'Preference' of sub areas. Third, the posttest scores of the experimental group was higher than the posttest scores of the comparative group in 'Total Language Ability' and 'Meaning' except 'Grammatical Form' and 'Syntactic Structure' of sub areas.
