Abstract
Optical frequency-domain reflectometry based on Brillouin dynamic grating (BDG) in polarization maintaining fiber is proposed and experimentally demonstrated for high resolution distributed measurement of Brillouin gain spectra. Distributed strain measurement for a 10.3 m PMF is performed with 1 cm spatial resolution in the feasibility test. © 2021 The Author(s).
