dc.description.abstractHigh-efficiency and wavelength-selective excitation of higher-order cladding modes in a four-core fiber is implemented using an acousto-optic mode converter. Dynamic inter-core routing through core-to-cladding-to-core three-mode coherent coupling is demonstrated with good agreement with theory. © 2021 The Author(s).-
