초등예비교사의 교직선택동기, 자기주도적 학습이 대학생활만족도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

목적 본 연구의 목적은 예비초등교사들의 교직 선택 동기, 자기주도적학습, 대학생활만족 간의 관련성 및 교직 선택 동기와 자기주도적학습이 대학생활만족에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 살펴보는 것이다. 방법 이를 위하여 강원지역 소재 교육대학생을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하여 248명(응답률 19.52%)을 대상으로 분석하였다. 자료는 SPSS21을 활용하여 분석하였고 연구도구와 신뢰도는 대학생활만족(.843), 교직선택동기(.735), 자기주도적학습(.794) 등이었다. 결과 자료는 기술통계, 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계 분석, 위계적 중다회귀분석, 그리고 매개효과를 분석하기 위한Sobel Test 등을 활용하여 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 초등예비교사의 대학생활만족, 교직동기, 자기주도적학습과 인구사회학적 변인(성별, 연령) 간의 연관성을 살펴본 결과, 여성인 경우, 재학 연령이 18세에서 21세의 경우, 능동적교직동기, 물질적교직동기가 높을수록, 자기주도적학습력이 높을수록 대학생활에 만족하는 성향이 높아졌다. 둘째, 초등예비교사의 자기주도적학습에 미치는 인구사회학적 변인(성별, 연령)과 교직동기의영향을 살펴본 결과, 성별과 연령은 초등예비교사의 자기주도적학습에 영향을 미치지 않았으며 능동적교직동기와 함께 회귀분석후 수동적교직동기가 영향변인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등예비교사의 대학생활만족에 미치는 인구사회학적 변인(성별, 연령)과 교직동기, 자기주도적학습의 영향을 살펴본 결과, 능동적이고 물질적인 동기가 높을수록, 여학생의 경우, 자기주도적학습을 잘 할수록만족도가 높았다. 넷째, 자기주도적 학습은 초등예비교사들의 능동적 교직동기와 대학생활만족 간에 부분적 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다결론 능동적교직동기가 대학생활만족도에 가장 중요한 영향을 미치는 요인이며, 자기주도적학습을 매개로 하여 능동적, 물질적 동기를 지닌 경우, 여학생이, 그리고 18-21세의 재학생의 경우 더 대학생활만족도가 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 남학생, 22세이상, 어쩔 수 없이 대학에 진학한 수동적동기를 보인 학생의 경우 자기주도적학습은 잘 하고 있지만 만족도는 낮은 것으로 나타나관심과 지원이 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

Objectives The purposes of this study were to investigate the influences from the motivation for choosing teaching professional(MCT) and self-directed learning (SDL) on university satisfaction (US) among the university students for elementary education, and to test the mediating effect of SDL in the relationships between MCT and US. Methods Adopting on-line survey, a national university students surveilled and a data set with 248 participants were produced. Descriptive statistics, reliability, correlations and multiple regressions were conducted with SPSS ver. 21, and then Sobel Test was conducted with proposed conceptual model. Results Gender, age bracket, active and material MCT, and SDL were significantly related to US. Also, gender and age bracket were the significant exogenous influencing factors on MCT. Female students and students’ age group under 21 were more likely to report higher levels of US, Both the active MCT and passive MCT influenced the US as well as the levels of SDL. In this study, mediation effect of SDL on the relationships between MCT and US was tested showed significant direct and indirect effects from MCT on US via SDL. Conclusions Based on the results, this study suggest male students and students aged over 21 were at risk group in terms of US, and educational universities should provide intervening programs to promote US of those groups. Promoting active MCT and SDL could be another effective approaches to increase US among educational university students
