결혼이주여성의 양육관련 변인이 유아의 사회적 능력에 미치는 영향

Abstract

유아의 사회적 능력의 발달은 부모의 양육관련 변인에 의해 크게 영향을 받는다. 한국에 거주하는 이주민의 숫자가 꾸준히 증가하고 특히 결혼이주여성이 많이 증가하며 결혼이주여성의 양육스트레스와 양육효능감, 그리고 남편의 양육참여를 통해 자녀의 사회적 능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 연구하였다. 연구를 위한 자료는 모두 164명의 결혼이주여성과 46명의 교사 설문으로 구성되었다. 유치원과 어린이집에 재원하고 있는 자녀가 있는 서울과 경기지역 결혼이주여성 164명은 양육스트레스, 양육효능감과 남편의 양육참여에 대한 설문에 응답하였고, 교사는 유아의 사회적 능력에 관한 설문에 답하였다. 연구결과 본 연구의 구조모형은 결혼이주여성 어머니의 부모-자녀 관계로 인한 양육스트레스는 자녀의 사회적 능력에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러난 반면, 일상적 양육스트레스는 오히려 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다. 그러나 결혼이주여성의 양육효능감이나 남편의 양육참여는 유아의 사회적 능력에 직접, 혹은 간접적인 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to reveal how the parenting variables of Married Immigrant Women (MIW) affect their children’s social competence. Parenting stress, parenting efficacy, and father’s involvement in parenting have been selected for the major parenting variables of MIW. The parenting variables were measured by 164 MIW and the children’s social competence was surveyed by 46 kindergarten and child-care center teachers. In this research, the study model anticipating MIW’s parenting stresses affect children’s social competence through the mediation of parenting efficacy and father’s parenting involvement was built by literature analysis. The structural equational model of this study was verified. The results showed that MIW’s parent-child relationship parenting stress negatively affected children’s social competence, but daily parenting stress positively affected children’s social competence. However, MIW’s parenting efficacy and fathers’ parenting involvement did not affect children’s social competence.
