청소년진로활동의 실태와 프로그램 분석

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 전국단위 조사를 통해 청소년진로활동의 전반적인 실태 및 요구를 확인하고, 진로활동 프로그램을 분석하여 그 특성을 파악하는데 있다. 이를 위해 전국 17개 시‧도에서 총 1,981명의 청소년들에게 실태 및 요구를 묻는 설문조사를 실시하였다. 또한, 2011년부터 2015년까지 수행된 청소년공모사업 중 진로활동영역 83개 프로그램을 구성요소, 내용, 운영의 3가지 주요범주와 9개의 하위범주 중심으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 청소년들은 학교에서 벗어나 현장을 체험하거나 견학하는 활동을 원하지만, 주로 학교 내에서 실시되는 진로검사나 진로교과수업에 참여하는 등 참여경험과 희망 간에 차이를 보였다. 진로역량 수준은 다양한 진로활동에 참여했거나 앞으로 여러 진로활동에 참여를 원하는 청소년들이 높았다. 진로활동 프로그램은 진로탐색 및 체험을 주요 목적으로 하였으며, 중학생을 대상으로 최근 자유학기제와 연관된 프로그램이 많았다. 정기형이나 캠프형에 참여하는 청소년들은 평균 40~50명 정도이며, 기관 내 인력 4~5명, 외부강사 및 전문가 9명, 자원봉사자 8명 정도의 인력이 이들을 위해 활동하였다. 2014년 이후 현장체험활동 위주로 변화를 보여 청소년들의 요구가 일부 반영되고 있었다. 청소년 1인당 정기형 26만원, 캠프형 23만원, 박람회형 8천원 정도의 예산이 사용되고 있었으며, 만족도 및 효과성 측정 등 여러 평가방법이 사용되었으나 체계성을 부족하였다. 이러한 결과에 기초하여 연구함의를 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the career activity conditions and needs of Korean youth, and to analyze contents of career-based programs. For this, a survey and multi-analysis with 1,981 youths was conducted. And 83 youth activity programs(2011-2015) were collected and analyzed. Results of this survey indicated that there was an obvious gap between the activity which youth wants to participate and they participated in actually. Further, findings revealed that youth participations and needs correlated with a career competency. And according to results of contents analysis, many programs had purposes of job search and experience, and middle-school students were the main targets. Their themes changed from career tests and classes to field activities. Also, they had several self-evaluation systems, but they were disorganized. Practical implications and recommendations for future research were discussed.
