- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to analyze the overall experience of junior taming culture in physical education department by utilizing critical incidents technique which is the one of qualitative analysis methods. To attain the goal, 395 college of physical education students were studied using CIT method.
The analysis of the data was produced based on the observation reliability of 3 independent researchers who has physical education and sports sociology background. The results were as follows. First, according to the results of analyzing experience of junior taming culture in physical education students' negative experiences, etiquette education, dress restrictions, daily restrictions, negative physical education image, freshman reception and other events, difficulty in adapting to the department. Second, according to the result of analyzing measures to improve specific requirements, change of departmental perception, efforts to change departments, improvement of senior-junior relationships, professors' efforts, ongoing preventive education in universities. It was found that it was necessary to ensure complete autonomy, to change the authoritarian order centered on the professors, to make efforts to prevent student human rights education and to deal with grievances for new students, and to regularly conduct fact-finding surveys.
