창작 스트레스를 겪는 대중음악 작곡가의 미술치료 체험연구

Abstract

본 연구는 창작 스트레스를 겪는 대중음악 작곡가의 미술치료 체험의 본질적 의미가 무엇인지 알아보는 것이다. 연구 참여자는 대중음악 작곡가 4인으로 본 연구자는 자료 수집을 위해 2021년 7월 31일부터 2021년 12월 7일까지 개인 미술치료 8회기 및 미술치료 전후 두 번의 개별 인터뷰를 시행하였다. 수집된 자료는 van Manen의 해석학적 현상학 연구 방법으로 분석하였으며 주제 분석 결과 6개의 본질적 주제와 22개의 하위 주제가 도출되었다. 연구 결과를 토대로 한 결론은 다음과 같다. 창작 스트레스를 겪는 대중음악 작곡가에게 미술치료는 첫째, 자신에 대해 깊이 집중하면서 진정한 자신의 모습이 드러나는 경험을 하게 되었다. 둘째, 자기 안의 틀을 깨고 자신에 대해 탐색하는 계기가 되었다. 셋째, 혼란스러웠던 내면이 정리되고 재정비되면서 정신적 안정감을 경험하게 되었다. 넷째, 있는 그대로의 자신의 모습을 인정하고 받아들이면서 창작자로서 성장하는 계기가 되었다. 본 연구자는 미술치료라는 학문을 통해 대중음악의 현실과 창작자의 어려움을 공감하고 이들의 내적 성장 과정을 살펴볼 수 있었으며, 본 연구는 대중음악 작곡가를 위한 심리․정서적인 지원을 효율적으로 할 수 있도록 향후 추가적인 연구나 치료적 개입에 질적인 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

This study examined the essential meaning of art therapy for young composers to experience self-exploration. The research participants were four music composers. The research consisted of eight individual art therapy sessions from July 31, 2021 to December 7, 2021 with two individual interview before and after the sessions. The collected data was analyzed by the van Manen hermeneutic phenomenology research method. As a result, 6 essential themes and 22 sub-themes were identified. The conclusions based on the results were as follows. Art therapy for popular music composers under stress showed: First, the patients experienced deeply concentrated self-reflection; second, they broke the barriers within their mind to self-exploration; third, experienced mental stability through recollecting fragmented inner state; and fourth, accepted themselves as there were and grew up further with a creative mind. Thus, this study empathized with the hardship of young composers and looked into their inner-growth. The expected outcome in this study was providing information for future research on therapeutic intervention for their psychological and emotional support. Based on the result of this study, the researcher discussed about purpose and limitations of its research scope.
