dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate the operation conditions of ventilation system and energy consumption in apartment houses equipped with ventilation system. And the increase of energy consumption according to operating ventilation system is also analyzed. From the result, the percentage of households using ventilation system was 32%, and not using ventilation system was 68%. The average operation time of the ventilation system was under 2 hours per day. About 58% of the household not using ventilation system answered that the reason for not using ventilation system is because of the increase in the cost of energy. And about 49% of the occupants using ventilation system answered that perceived air quality was fresher while using the ventilation system. Statistical significance was found in the heating energy when the fan was operated over than three hours. However, there was no significant difference among the apartments which did not operate the fan below two hours.-
