Abstract

This study conducted a content analysis by analyzing 1,287 papers in the field of sports sociology published in five years from 2015 to 2019 in the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index(CSSCI). The purpose is to provide basic data for expanding the research area and subject matter of Korean sports sociology by empirically attempting to analyze trends and topics in Chinese sports sociology research papers. As a result, First, the analysis results of the research subject showed that the sports economy, industry, and commercialization were the most common, followed by research on overseas sports sociology, daily sports, and sports history. Second, in 1,287 papers, 1911 researchers participated in the field of sports sociology, The number of core authors totaled 198. The number of participating authors in the paper was 30.4% for independent research, 37.1% for two people, 20.4% for three people, and 12.1% for four or more. and the first author's major was while 378 for sports sociology, 241 for sports pedagogy, 138 for sports industry/economy, and 108 for sports law. Third, while the number of papers targeting all ages in the age category was the highest with 38. The form of sports was followed by leisure sports, elite sports and professional sports. Fourth, the analysis of research methods includes 1,009 qualitative researches, 182 quantitative researches, and 96 integrate researches. Fifth, 173 of the total 1,287 papers were applied to the theoretical view.
