Abstract
Recently, applications using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have dominated remote sensing research. For intelligent urban planning deasion-making, computer vision algorithms have been developed to extract urban features. It has been shown that they outperform traditional techniques. However, limited assessment of the literature has been undertaken that incorporates both the "computer vision" and "UAV remote sensing" themes in urban assessment and management (UA&M). This article provides an in-depth examination of computer vision and UAV integration in UA&M to minimize the issues associated with current city planning.
