- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to in-depth analyze the meaning of the experiences of female emotional workers while participating in the dance healing program and to present a theoretical framework. It was collected based on the in-depth interview data of 7 women who participated in the dance healing program in the psychological counseling center for emotional workers operated by the city of Seoul. In order to secure the validity and reliability of the study, member check and triangulation were conducted, and the results were shared and analyzed with the study participants. Textual analysis of the data collected through in-depth interviews led to the following conclusions. First, the first step in participation in dance healing, a causal condition, appeared to want to find myself in me again and to participate naturally. Second, the attraction by need, which is a contextual context, appeared as a feeling of necessity after active counseling and psychological counseling at the healing center. Third, sensing the gradual change, the phenomenon, was revealed through the immersion of the body and mind, psychological stability, change of purpose in life, and motivation for myself. Fourth, the wall of reality, which is an intermediary condition, appeared as a persistent anxiety and external situation. Fifth, the emotionally moving body, which is an interaction strategy, appeared with active emotion expression and passion. As a result, the paradigm change in life appeared as a change in psychological emotion and a change in body.
