About 70% of deaths on highways are caused by drowsy driving. Recent vehicles have AEBS to prevent forward collisions, but devices that recognize external objects and brake do not solve the fundamental problem of drowsy driving. In this paper, we propose a driver monitoring system using 77㎓ FMCW radar to prevent drowsy driving. Respiratory rate and heart rate are measured by observing changes in the driver"s chest. If the measured respiration and heart rate are lowered differently than usual, the driver is warned by LED, buzzer, and vibration motor. The experimental study results indicate that the driver monitoring system prevents drowsy driving.-
