dc.description.abstract | This study presents a novel web-based decision support system (DSS) that optimizes the locations of hydrogen refueling stations (HRSs) and hydrogen supply chains (HSCs). The system is developed with a design science approach that identifies key design requirements and features through interviews and literature reviews. Based on the findings, a system architecture and data model were designed, incorporating scenario management, optimization model, visualization, and data management components. The DSS provides a two-stage solution model that links demand to HRSs and production facilities to HRSs. A prototype is demonstrated with a plan for 2025 and 2030 in the Republic of Korea, where 450 to 660 stations were deployed nationwide and linked to production facilities. User evaluation confirmed the effectiveness of the DSS in solving optimization problems and its potential to assist the government and municipalities in planning hydrogen infrastructure. © 2023 The Authors | - |
