Abstract
This paper presents a research on reducing the torque ripple in a brushless wound rotor synchronous machine (BL-WRSM). The rotor of the machine has been optimized using genetic algorithm (GA) and Kriging method, considering the torque ripple reduction. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is performed with the optimized design and improved results were obtained. © 2016 IEEE.
