문화상품을 통한 전통공예의 활성화 방안에 대한 연구

Abstract

전통공예가 점차 쇠퇴하고 있는 현 시점에서 전통공예를 보호하고 전승하기 위해 많은 장인, 디자이너 및 연구자들이 전통공예 요소를 활용하며 현대 소비자의 라이프스타일에 맞는 문화상품을 개발하고자 노력하고 있다. 본 연구는 전통공예의 활성화를 돕기 위해 문화상품에서 공예 요소의 활용과 그를 기반으로 개발된 상품의 용도를 조사하고 분석하여 활성화 방안을 제시하였다. 연구 방법으로는 전통공예, 문화상품, 그리고 공예문화상품의 정확한 개념을 살펴보았으며, 기존의 전통공예 요소를 활용한 문화상품 디자인에 관한 논문 및 국내의 우수문화상품 지정제도 중 공예품과 디자인상품 분야 상품을 조사하고 통계하였다. 그 내용을 기반으로 전통공예의 활성화 현황과 부족함을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 전통공예의 활성화를 위한 방안으로, 첫째 다양한 전통공예의 다양한 요소를 활용하기, 둘째 전통공예에 시대에 적합한 기능성을 융합하여 응용범위를 확대하기, 셋째 학생 그룹을 위한 문화상품 개발을 활성화하는 세 가지 방안을 제안하였다.

Due to the gradual decline of traditional handicrafts, many artisans, designers and researchers are taking crafts as elements to develop cultural goods that meet the lifestyles of modern consumers in order to preserve and revitalize handicrafts. This study investigates and analyzes the applications of handicrafts elements in cultural products and the uses of products developed based on these elements, and then proposes revitalization plans. In terms of research methodology, this study first examines the concepts of traditional handicrafts, cultural goods, and craft cultural goods. Then, existing papers on cultural goods developed based on elements of traditional crafts and goods in the field of crafts and design goods in the domestic excellent cultural goods designation system were investigated and counted. On this basis, the current situation and shortcomings of the revitalization of handicrafts were analyzed. As a result of the research, three plans to revitalize the handicrafts were proposed through the investigation and analysis of the current situation. These three plans are revitalizing different elements, broadening the scope of application of handicrafts, and developing cultural goods with student groups as the target. Hoped that the results of the study will contribute to the sustainable transmission and development of handicrafts.
