dc.description.abstractThis paper proposed an analytical modeling approach for evaluating progressive collapse resistance of a steel frame structure. Herein the behavior of the beam components, subjected to three concentrated loads, nearby the column removal location was considered under large deformation. A simplified model of two-bay beam was established based on the internal force behavior in the beams. The load-displacement relationship was characterized into five stages. The feasibility of the analytical model was demonstrated by comparing the results of finite element analysis.-
