dc.description.abstract | In recent years, using information and communication technology (ICT) has brought potential benefits to the construction industry but has not been widely adopted in this field. This research aimed to examine factors driving ICT adoption in construction firms by combining the technology acceptance model (TAM) with the technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework. The integrated model was developed and validated using structural equation modeling. Empirical results showed that the technological factor has an influence on the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of end-users to ICT. While organizational and environmental factors appeared to have no impact on perceived ease of use. Furthermore, perceived usefulness was indicated as a vital factor for end-user ICT acceptance. The research findings provide valuable insights into mechanisms influent ICT adoption and serve as a guide to extending the adoption of ICT in the Vietnam construction industry. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. | - |
