채원정의 풍수 오성론과 구성론의 인식 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 옥수진경 의 발휘(發揮)를 통해 다양한 풍수론을 드러낸 채원정(蔡元定)의 오성론(五星論)과 구성론(九星論)의 인식에 대해 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 북두칠성으로부터 비롯된 구성론은 탐랑과 거문, 녹존, 문곡, 염정, 무곡, 파군, 좌보, 우필로 구성되어 있는데, 송대의 채원정에 의해 신랄히 비판받는다. 그 이유로 출처와 근거가 미약하다는 것인데, 양균송조차도 구성을 차용하게 된 배경을 구체적으로 설명하지 못하고 있다. 채원정은 구성론을 비판적인 시각에서 바라보고 있는 반면에, 오성론은 정통이라는 시각을 가지고 있다. 근거와 출처의 명확성이 오성론을 구성론과 다른 시각에서 바라보는 계기가 되었다. 따라서 막연하고 근거없는 주장을 마치 자신만이 아는 비법인양 호도하는일부 풍수인들에게 채원정의 논리는 시사하는 바가 크다. 지속적인 연구를 통해 이러한 문제점을 극복할 수 있는 방안을모색해야 한다.

Cai Yuanding(蔡元定) propose various theories of feng shui through the annotation of Yusuizhenjing, and the purpose of this study is to analyze his recognition of the five-star theory(五星論) and the nine-star theory(九星 論). The nine-star theory derived from the Big Dipper consists of Tamnang, Geomun, Nokjon, Mungok, Yeomjeong, Mugok, Pagun, Jwabo, and Woopil. Cai Yuanding of the Song Dynasty severely criticized this theory because he thought it was not well-founded and had an unreliable source. Even Yang Yunsong of the Tang dynasty did not explain the background of borrowing the nine-star theory in detail. Cai Yuanding viewed the nine-star theory from a critical point of view, but he affirmed that the five-star theory was orthodox. The clarity of the evidence and source of the five-star theory provided an opportunity to view the theory of understanding from a different perspective from the nine-star theory. Therefore, Cai Yuanding’s attitude has significant implications for some feng shui people who misrepresent vague and baseless claims as if they were their own secret method. We need to find ways to overcome these problems through continuous research.
