In recent years, The embedded software has been more complex and huge to satify all the various requirements of the rapidly changing automotive market. To meet the requirements, Documents-based development method is steadily changing into model-driven development method in automotive embedded software. Model-driven development method has a lot of advantages for maintaining cost, manpower and developments cycle by using smooth communication, error detection and correction. In this paper, we will show model-driven development procedures and advantages using specific communication tool as well as UML(Unified Modeling Language) model and tool which is needed for auto-code generation works. The door module which is a kind of automotive embedded system is raplidly prototyped as the practical example.-
