Green building is rapidly gaining momentum in the construction industry as a way to tackle environmental issues and problems, achieve the social equity and reap the associated economic rewards. In green building, the many stakeholders collaborate to complete an integrated green design and construction process that fully achieves the goals of sustainability in design and construction. Given the many negative environmental issues and problems involved, as well as the many opportunities, an Integrated Construction Process (ICP) model for green building would support stakeholders’ efforts to successfully implement green building strategies and technologies during the construction phase of the building development process. The ICP model developed for this study includes the goals of individual green construction processes, step-by-step procedures, and the roles and responsibilities of the three main stakeholder groups (architects, general contractors, and subcontractors), lists best practices and provides detailed examples of how it can be applied. The proposed ICP model is to serve as a useful tool for education and training and raise the standard of green building achieved by all construction stakeholders working to improve the built environment by facilitating the implementation of green building strategies and technologies in all phases of building life, from design to demolition. This study demonstrates the step by step process to develop the ICP model that can help construction stakeholders in the developing countries to implement green building at the construction phase. © International Journal of Sustainable Building Technology and Urban Development.-
