dc.description.abstractThis study shows the effect of a pneumatic hammer generated during the pre-cooling process for the liquid nitrogen experiments in the hybrid bearing. In a non-rotating condition of the rotor-bearing system supported on the hybrid bearing, pneumatic hammer is notable during a pre-cooling process. The pneumatic hammer renders continued contact pressure and frictional heat between the bearing and the rotor surfaces, thereby enabling adhesive wear.-
