dc.description.abstract | Mobile devices are increasing in number and most of them are based on Android OS. Developers of Android apps mainly focuses on the functional requirement and ignores the non-functional requirements in the development phase. These devices have limited resources (CPU, Memory, and Power, etc.). Power consumption in mobile devices is an important factor to consider when developing an app. There is no such official guide that help developer to build a less power-hungry app or discover energy leaks in the development phase. This paper will review different energy leaks found in Android apps, then we will discuss some solutions to help developers to reduce energy leaks while developing the app. | - |
