dc.description.abstract | In this study, an attempt has been made on a positive approach to evaluate the performance of the E-N'-(4-(dimethylamino) (benzylidene)-2-(5-methoxy-2-methyl-1H-indol-3-yl) acetohydrazide (DBMAH) with simulates concrete pore solution (SCPS) for its corrosion performance under marine environments. The corrosion performance of steel rebars has been examined in chloride contaminated SCPS with 0, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1.0 mM of DBMAH using electrochemical methods such as open circuit potential and AC-impedance methods. The Icorr values indicates that 0.25 and 0.5 mM of DBMAH with CCSCPS is sufficiently suitable for better corrosion resistance of the steel rebar in CCSCPS. | - |
