dc.description.abstractCorrosion problems of reinforced concrete structures due to chloride penetration in the marine environment are one of the major factors that seriously degrade the performance of the structure. In response, this study investigated the rust preventive effect of L-Arginine, an organic material, as a method that can suppress infiltrated chloride and extend the life of the structure. The content and distribution of elements were investigated through SEM-EDX analysis and elemental mapping of L-Arginine mixed cement mortar, and the results were obtained that chlorine was fixed through chemical reaction with L-Arginine. These results suggest that L-Arginine could be used as a corrosion inhibitor to inhibit the penetration of chloride in reinforced concrete structures.-
