- Abstract
- An experiment was conducted using an absorption preventive material as a solution to the penetration of CaCl2 and carbonation of
domestic concrete. In the experiment, chloride ion penetration resistance and carbonation resistance were evaluated. As a result, it was confirmed that
silane-based absorption protection materials had better carbonation resistance than silicate-based absorption protection materials. During the chloride
ion penetration resistance experiment, no current was applied inside the concrete coated with a silane-based absorption preventing material. It is
judged to have a characteristic of simultaneously suppressing moisture penetration into the concrete and chloride ions penetration due to the high
water repellency of the absorption preventing material. Through this experiment, it was found that silane-based absorption protection materials have
better quality performance than silicate-based absorption protection materials.
