dc.description.abstract | In this paper, the finite element model and the equivalent thermal circuit model for the temperature field of an outer rotor brushless DC motor are established to predict the motor temperature rise under normal working conditions, thus to ensure the normal operation of the motor for range hood applications. The effective boundary heat transfer conditions are used to simplify the complex heat transfer process. The heat losses of every part in this motor are calculated for the temperature field analysis, and the heat dissipation is simply assumed by the natural circulation of air. The agreement between the two kinds of analysis results shows that the designed motor satisfies the requirements on the motor temperature rise. | - |
