Abstract
Developing and testing embedded software for a smart key ECU(Electronic Control Unit) is a very difficult task since it is one of the most complex systems in automotive body control system. In this paper, a UML(Unified Modeling Language) modeling of a smart key ECU software is proposed. This software model can be used to verify the validity of the specification and to generate test cases for testing embedded software. In this study, the UML tool which is capable of automatic code generation is used. Using this tool, it is possible to perform simulations of virtual prototype in the early stage of development. In the later stage of development, this model can also be used to generate test cases to test embedded software. It is believed that the software model proposed in this paper can contribute to enhancing the reliability of smart key ECU software.
