가능도 점수 분석을 통한 OVSF 코드 검출

Abstract

본 논문은 코드 도메인 전력(code domain power, CDP)의 확률 분포를 도출하고, 이를 바탕으로 얻어진 가능도 점수(likelihood score)를 이용하여 WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access)시스템 하향링크의 사용자들에게 할당된 OVSF (Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor) 코드를 검출하는 방법을 제안하고 성능을 분석한다. 제안하는 검출 방법은 CDP의 확률 분포를 이용하여 얻어진 임계값을 사용하여 1차적으로 사용되었을 가능성이 높은 OVSF 코드를 선별한다. 2차 검색에서는 이전 단계에서 검색된 코드들을 부모 자식 관계를 가진 코드들의 그룹으로 나누고, 각 그룹 내에서 가능도 점수를 계산하여 점수가 가장 높은 OVSF 코드를 최종적으로 검출한다. 컴퓨터 실험을 통하여 제안하는 방법이 기존의 방법 보다 사용된 OVSF 코드에 대해 높은 감지 확률과 낮은 오인 경보 확률을 달성하는 것을 보인다

In this paper, we present a maximum likelihood detection method of OVSF codes used in WCDMA systems. We investigate the probability distribution of CDP for each code investigated and devise a threshold that is used to determine the existence of an OVSF code in the first stage of the code search. In the second stage, the searched codes at the first stage are grouped according to whether they have a parent-children relationship in the OVSF code tree. And with likelihood scores computed for the codes in a code group, the code that has the maximum value is determined to be used in the group. With computer simulation, we show that the proposed method provides better detection probability and lower false alarm probability
