- Abstract
- Chromatic aberration is an optical distortion that causes color fringe and blur color edges, which leads to sharpness loss in edge boundary of digital image. Earlier approaches eliminate the color fringe but could not recover the sharpness in green fringe due to incorrect color reference. The color reference is basically green color signal, which is better for removing purple fringe, but generate blurry edge for green fringe due to the green color is incorrect in narrow region. In this paper we proposes a correction of chromatic aberration using red color signal as secondary reference for green fringe. Our proposed method has used the minimum intensity value along the transition region instead of relying on a single reference color. Experimental results show that our approach has improved the sharpness for chromatic aberration correction.
